Pirate Market coming up.....
Posted by Mandy - The Littlest Costume Shop in Melbourne on 9th Sep 2016
Now, I know I say this all the time...(not just in the blog either, as anyone who has chatted to me in the last few weeks can tell you) but it's been really busy!
Boxes and boxes of new Halloween stuff have been arriving. I love opening the boxes and seeing the things I ordered so many months ago in real life. My favourites so far are definitely the steampunk masks and the retractable vampire teeth. Why didn't I order more of these? They're brilliant.
Also arriving in exciting boxes was the makeup I ordered in for my kid's school concert. Beware what you volunteer for.....you might end up like me - spending weeks sorting out designs, cutting endless makeup stencils and figuring out how to facepaint hundreds of school children in three quarters of an hour (those stencils I mentioned, and lots of volunteers)
But....the school concert is over, the Halloween orders are here, and I'm gearing up for the Pirate Market. Talk like a Pirate Day is coming soon, and to celebrate, Golden Owl Events are once again hosting a Pirate Market in The Bull and Bear Tavern on 17th September at 1pm. I'm presenting free wig styling and makeup tutorials and selling the wigs and makeup featured. Just gotta get my costume sorted.....
