A short course from a qualified wig stylist and trainer, this course will take you through basic tools and techniques used in wig styling, including how to curl, backcomb and block a hard or lace-front wig.
Then on to two ways to style an C18th Powdered wig, using a preformed, pre-curled wig and from scratch using a long lace-front wig.
Followed by how to style an C18th Hedgehog Wig.
Finally, you will style a wig yourself and upload it to the course.
This is a Moodle course which focuses on using synthetic wigs and is tailored for use in costume hire and for small theatre productions, but will be useful for anyone with an interest in styling eighteenth century wigs. The main parts of the course are downloadable and can be printed out for ease of use. Once you have purchased the course, you will be emailed log in details.
You will have access to your trainer for questions and clarifications for a full year. Please be aware that to get the best results for your C18th wig styling, there are recommended purchases of styling blocks and tools. (Not sold by The Littlest Costume Shop)
